Here is a very nice Chinese trilobite. This is Yuepingia sp. from the Lower Ordovician. Many of the specimens of this trilobite, that we have seen, do not have the nice calcitic exoskeleton preserved. This specimen exhibits thick "shell" material. The trilobite is complete and very nicely articulated. The specimen displays fine detail. The crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen. The swooping genal spines are quite evident. The trilobite has excellent natural color and contrast. It is well centered on a rectangular plate of matrix. This is a very "clean" specimen of Yuepingia from China.
