This is a very displayable trilobite. It is a large Aristoharpes from Morocco. This specimen was prepared with the long, thin genal spines free-standing and raised high off the matrix - in the "flying" position, so to speak. The trilobite has great detail - even the pitted surface of the cephalon is still preserved. The trilobite itself is nicely showcased on the sculpted matrix base. This is not only a collectible trilobite specimen, but also a natural work of art. Very few Aristoharpes have ever been prepared this beautifully.
