This is a very nice specimen of Lloydolithus lloydi from the Lower Ordovician of England. The trilobite is very nicely articulated and displays incredible detail. The many individual pits of the brim are easily seen. The trilobite has excellent yellowish color and contrasts quite nicely with the grayish-green matrix. The trilobite is well centered on the natural plate of shale. This trilobite was split out of the rock. Both part and counterpart of the trilobite are present. There are also a few other trilobite remains on the slab. This is a very pretty specimen of Lloydolithus lloydi from England.
