This is one of the most beautiful specimens of Stapeleyella incostans that we have ever seen. This trilobite is somewhat inflated and very nicely articulated. The specimen exhibits incredible detail. The entire brim of the cephalon is intact. The many pits of the brim are totally revealed. The long, swooping genal spines extend far beyond the pygidium. The trilobite has good color and contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. It is well centered on a natural piece of shale. This is a very aesthetic specimen of this Trinucleid trilobite.
