This is an excellent specimen of Deanaspis goldfussi from the Ordovician. According to many collectors, trilobites from the Czech Republic are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. This specimen is very complete and exhibits fine detail. (The specimen is actually much better than the picture.) The specimen is very nicely articulated. The punctate brim is quite evident. The bulbous glabella and the wide triangular tail are quite evident. The trilobite has a beautiful yellow color and contrasts nicely with the grayish-brown matrix. The trilobite is well centered on the natural plate of matrix. There are several partial trilobites also on the piece of rock. This is a great specimen of a difficult-to-obtain species from the Czech Republic.
