This is a nice, large, specimen of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) punctatus. This trilobite is from the Middle Ordovician of Russia. The trilobite has long eye stalks. They are not as long as A. kowalewskii, but much longer than A. cornutus. This trilobite is complete and very prone on the matrix. It is extremely 3-dimensional. The caramel brown color of the trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The specimen is well centered on the limestone block. This is a fine specimen of this stalk-eyed Asaphid trilobite from Russia.
