Here is a trilobite that is becoming incrasingly difficult to obtain. This is an unidentified Cheirurid from the Devonian of Morocco. The specimen is inflated and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The trilobite exhibits fine detail. It has two short "devil-horn" processes extending off the front of the cephalon. The long thoracic pleurae and pygidial spines end in sharp points. The long genal spines are prominently displayed. The trilobite is slightly arched. The trilobite has thick, dark exoskeleton that contrasts extremely well with the lighter-colored matrix. The specimen is almost perfectly centered on the rounded matrix block. This is a gorgeous specimen of this unidentified Cheirurid trilobite.
