This is a good specimen of Crotalocephalus gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The specimen displays good detail. The eyes are quite distinct. The pygidial spines are very easy to see. The head and most of the thorax of the trilobite are very prone. The rear of the thorax and the tail are flexed downward. The trilobite appears to be "crawling off the rock". The specimen has thick, dark "skin" and great contrast. It is well positioned on the rounded limestone matrix. This is a very affordable specimen of Crotalocephalus.
