This is a fabulous multiple plate of Modocia brevispina. This specimen is from the Pierson Cove Formation of Utah. Before our master preparator started on this plate, there was one Modocia partially exposed. He found three more specimens just below the surface. All of the trilobites are wonderfully articulated. The free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The small pygidia are all present. The trilobites exhibit very fine detail. The specimens are slightly inflated and display well on the matrix plate. This is the finest multiple specimen of this trilobite that we have ever seen.
