This beautiful trilobite is as close to perfection as it gets. This is Elrathia marjumi from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. This trilobite should not be confused with the more common Elrathia kingi from the Wheeler Formation. The trilobite is very nicely articulated. The detail is incredible. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The fossil has fabulous color and great contrast. It is almost perfectly centered on the almost square matrix plate. There is also an agnostid trilobite present on the plate. This is a "textbook" example of Elrathia marjumi from the Middle Cambrian.
