This is a fabulous specimen of Isotelus mafritzi from the Middle Ordovician of Canada. The trilobite is very prone and extremely well articulated. The specimen is 3-dimensional and almost perfectly centered on the squared matrix. The fine detail of the trilobite has been preserved. The specimen exhibits very tiny, pointed genal spines. This trilobite is very sleek in appearance. It has great color and good contrast with the matrix. This is one of the finest Isotelus that we have seen in a long time. This is a beautiful display piece that is suitable even for the most discriminating collector.
