This is a beautiful example of a classic Lower Cambrian trilobite. It is a large Olenellus thompsoni from the Donnerville Quarry, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This impressive specimen was found YEARS AGO in the Donnerville quarry, which is closed to collecting. This fabulous trilobite is very well articulated and wonderfully preserved - the fine detail is amazing for an Olenellus this size! The primitive bug is beautifully showcased on the HUGE, UNBROKEN slab of dense shale - it is quite heavy! And the counterpart is even intact and included here (see last photo!) This is an extremely collectible display example of a large, split pair Lower Cambrian Olenellus thompsoni from Pennsylvania, direct from MY collection.
