This is a nice example of a "true" Phacops from Morocco. This is not the more common Phacops speculator. The specimen does not display the coarsely pustulose exoskeleton of a Phacops speculator, but rather a more subtle granulation. This trilobite has good detail. The individual facets of the eyes are preserved. The specimen is prone and tightly articulated. The fossil has nice natural color and good contrast. It is nicely positioned on a natural block of limestone. This is a fine specimen of a "true" Phacops from Morocco.
