This is a beautiful specimen of Mrakibina cattoi from the Devonian of Morocco. This unusual type of trilobite has very small eyes, extremely long, wide genal spines, and many long pygidial spines - all of these features are clearly defined and well displayed on this specimen. The tiny compound eyes are easily seen, and the pointed pygidial lappets are all intact. The trilobite has excellent color and contrast and is well showcased on the expertly sculpted plate of dense limestone. This is a very displayable example of this uncommon trilobite from the Atlas Mountains.
