This is a beautiful pair of Mrakibina cattoi trilobites from the Devonian of Morocco. This remarkable specimen has one complete trilobite crawling right over top of another! This unusual type of trilobite has extremely long, wide genal spines - all four of these spines have been prepared in a free-standing manner! The tiny compound eyes are easily seen, and most of the pointed pygidial lappets are also free of matrix. The distinct trilobites have excellent color and contrast and are naturally showcased on the expertly sculpted plate of dense limestone. This is a very collectible and displayable double example of this uncommon trilobite from North Africa.
