This is a very displayable example of a classic US trilobite. It is a beautiful part/counterpart Olenellus nevadensis from the Lower Cambrian of California. This specimen was found in the Marble Mountains, a locality that produces some of the most beautiful olenellids in the world. The large trilobite is extremely well preserved and beautifully displayed. The pink-red coloration is fully natural and is just exquisite. The long tailspine is even preserved (hard to see in photo). And this is a rare split pair specimen - both halves of the fossil (part/counterpart) are offered together. This is a very impressive split pair example of a Marble Mountains Olenellus nevadensis from the Golden State.
