This is one of the most distinct trilobites in the world. It is an excellent Actinopeltis sp. from the Ordovician of Morocco. This cool specimen is from the Diacalymene concretion layers, and it is, in fact, is preserved in a concretion. The trilobite is prone and well preserved - the slight disarticulation does not diminish the rarity and quality of the specimen. The bug displays excellent detail - the HUGE bulbous glabella is very easily seen. The natural dark brown trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the lighter-colored concretionary matrix. This is a very rare example of one of the most unusual trilobites found in Morocco. (Both halves of the concretion are present and offered together!)
