Here is a fine specimen of a classic US trilobite. It is a large, complete Sthenarocalymene celebra from the Silurian of Kentucky. This type is usually found in Illinois - this specimen is unusual in that it was found in Kentucky. The trilobite is well preserved in an outstretched position and exhibits fine detail. The bug is extremely inflated and nicely articulated. The three-dimensional trilobite has nice natural color and is well showcased on the dense dolomitic block. This is a nice, large example of Sthenarocalymene celebra from Kentucky.
