This is a huge example of a classic Cambrian trilobite. It is a very distinct Acadoparadoxides briareus from Morocco. This specimen was recently acquired from the Richard Busch Collection. Busch was the Preparator/Asst. Curator at the North Museum in Lancaster, PA from 1965-1992. This type is one of the most faked trilobites from Morocco - this one, however, is guaranteed to be a real fossil. This giant trilobite is beautifully outstretched and wonderfully articulated. The inflated bug exhibits wonderful detail - the crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen, and even the tiny tail is clearly defined. The trilobite has striking orange color and is well showcased on the angular plate of matrix. This is a very large, very impressive trilobite that was once a part of the Richard Busch Collection.
