This is a fabulous European trilobite from the Ed Books Collection. It is an excellent Aulacopleura konincki from the Czech Republic. This inflated trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. Both genal spines and the tiny pygidium are all nicely intact. The bug has superb detail preserved - could it be much better? The natural orange-yellow color contrasts beautifully with the gray-brown matrix. The distinct trilobite is well centered on the semi-squared matrix plate. This is a colorful, top quality example of this unusual-looking Silurian trilobite.
