We recently acquired these specimens from an old collection. Although the specimens look as if they could be from Wisconsin, the original label says that they are from Hardin County, Kentucky. They are both very nice specimens of Sthenarocalymene celebra from the Silurian. Both trilobites are inflated and have a slight sway-backed posture. They are preserved as internal casts in a fine-grained dolomite. Both are tightly articulated and have the free cheeks intact. They display fine detail. The larger trilobite is especially nice. These are two very fine specimens of this classic trilobite from an unusual location.
