Name:

This is a very rare trilobite fossil. It is a plate with both a prone and an enrolled Paciphacops campbelli from Oklahoma. These trilobites are differentiated from Kainops by having fewer facets in the compound eyes. One trilobite is outstretched and prepared ventrally (from underneath). One trilobite is tightly enrolled and is a top quality specimen in its own right. The bugs are very 3-dimensional and exhibit fine detail. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobites contrast wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. This is a very cool double example of this small-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
