This is a very nice example of a classic US trilobite. It is a fine Olenellus thompsoni from the Lower Cambrian of Pennsylvania. This specimen was found in York County, PA, not Lancaster, where most of the Kinzers Olenellids were found. The trilobite is wonderfully displayed and well preserved - the tailspine is even intact and easily seen. This specimen is beautifully showcased on the large plate of shale that also contains an Olenellus cephalon. This is a distinct example of an Olenellus thompsoni from York County, Pennsylvania.
