This is a CLASSIC Lower Cambrian trilobite. It is a very distinct Olenellus clarki from the Latham Shale of California. This specimen was found in the 1970's and recently acquired from an old collection. The bug is almost complete, with the huge cephalon and body the main focal point. The detail and preservation of this trilobite is very nice. The bug is well inflated and 3-D, and has the beautiful natural color that Marble Mountans trilobites are known for. This is a very cool California Olenellus trilobite that has been in a collection for decades.
