This is an excellent specimen of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) punctatus from the Ordovician of Russia. The trilobite exhibits beautiful articulation. The specimen is 3-dimensional and displays excellent detail. The medium-length eye stalks are very prominent. The trilobite has excellent caramel color and contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is well positioned on the natural slab of limestone. This is a beautiful example of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) punctatus from the Ordovician.
