This is a nice specimen of Onnia superba from the Ordovician of Morocco. This 3-dimensional trilobite is quite distinct and exhibits wonderful detail. The punctate ornamentation on the brim of the cephalon is beautifully displayed. An extremely long, thin genal spine extends way past the body of the bug and is clearly defined. The large, bulbous glabella is easily seen, and even the tiny, triangular pygidium is intact. The yellow-orange trilobite contrasts nicely with the natural matrix plate. The bug is wonderfully showcased on the natural block of limestone. This is a striking example of this Trinucleid trilobite from Morocco.
