This is a nice specimen of Leonaspis from the Devonian of Morocco. The specimen is quite large and very nicely preserved. It is 3-dimensional and displays great articulation. The specimen has fine detail. The "fringed" cheeks are present. The eyes are very good. It has extremely long genal and thoracic spines. The trilobite has superb color and contrast. It is well centered on a semi-squared block of limestone. Doug acquired this specimen in 1986 and it has been in his collection ever since. This is a very fine specimen of a large Leonaspis from Morocco.
