This is a cool Elderdgeops rana rana plate from the Middle Devonian of New York. This specimen was found years ago at the famous Penn-Dixie Quarry. There are two distinct trilobites on the plate. The fossils are inflated and exhibit fine detail. The individual facets of the eyes and the pustulose glabellas are extremely well preserved. The black trilobites contrast beautifully with the light grey matrix. The bugs are nicely showcased on the plate of shale that also contains other fossils. This is a very affordable specimen of Eldredgeops from New York.
