This is an extremely rare Proetid trilobite. It is a complete Unidentified Trilobite from from the Lower Silurian of China. This specimen was recently acquired from a major trilobite collection. This trilobite is from the same layers as the more common Encrinurus, but is easily 100 times rarer. This prone trilobite is very inflated and well showcased on the block of matrix. The trilobite has great detail, showcasing its large eyes beautifully. The bug has striking natural color that contrasts well with the light-colored matrix. This is an excellent example of this very scarce Proetid from Asia.
