This is a very fine example of a classic US trilobite. It is a complete Olenellus thompsoni from the Lower Cambrian of Pennsylvania. This specimen was found in York County, PA, not Lancaster, where most of the Kinzers Olenellids were found. The trilobite is well preserved and beautifully displayed, with the long telson (tailspine) intact. This detailed specimen is wonderfully showcased on the large plate of shale. And, best of all, this is a split pair fossil - both part and counterpart are offered together! This is a very rare example of a complete, split pair Olenellus thompsoni from York County, Pennsylvania.
