Here is a fine Cordania falcata from the Devonian of Oklahoma. This specimen was found by Eugene Thomas in 2004. The trilobite is very inflated and exhibits fine detail. Although the bug is curled, both free cheeks are intact, which is unusual. Under magnification, the extremely small granules can be seen on the cephalon of the trilobite. The beautiful cream-colored bug contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The fossil is well displayed on a large, squared block of limestone. This is a nice specimen of Cordania falcata with both genal spines intact.
