This is a nice, large specimen of Flexicalymene retrorsa from the Ordovician of Ohio. This complete trilobite is outstretched and very 3-dimensionally preserved. The bug exhibits great detail, and both free cheeks are present and nicely displayed. The bug has thick, chocolate brown exoskeleton that contrasts well with the blue-grey matrix. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the large block of shale. This is a very inflated display example of a large Flexicalymene retrorsa.
