Here is a very busy multiple trilobite plate. These trilobites are Elrathia kingi from the Cambrian of Utah. The three trilobites on the left side of the plate are composited, the three on the right are totally natural. Five of the six trilobites have their free cheeks intact, which is quite unusual. The trilobites are well preserved and exhibit fine detail - the cephalons and individual thoracic segments are easily seen. These ancient arthropods have nice natural color and contrast. The bugs are well showcased on the large plate of shale. This is a very cool multiple plate of Elrathia kingi from the Wheeler Formation.
