This is a very nice Mississippian trilobite. It is a fine Ameropiltonia lauradanae from the Choteau Formation of Missouri. As everyone knows, complete Carboniferous trilobites are quite rare. This bug is somewhat inflated and well preserved. The prone fossil is very detailed, has nice color and contrast, and is easily seen on the natural matrix plate. This is a very cool example of a Ameropiltonia lauradanae trilobite.
