Here is an excellent specimen of Dalmanites limulurus from the Silurian of New York. This large trilobite is prone and wonderfully articulated. The bug is somewhat inflated and exhibits great detail. Both genal spines and the long caudal spine are nicely displayed. The individual lenses of the large compound eyes are quite evident. The distinct trilobite has excellent color and contrast and is beautifully showcased on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a very fine specimen of this classic trilobite from New York.
