Here is a complete Cordania falcata from the Devonian of Oklahoma. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 1999. The trilobite is very inflated and exhibits fine detail. Although the bug is curled, both free cheeks are intact, which is unusual. Under magnification, the extremely small granules can be seen on the cephalon of the trilobite. The individual thoracic segments are quite evident, and the pygidium is present, but enrolled under. The beautiful cream-colored bug contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The fossil is well displayed on the nice limestone base. This is a fine display specimen of Cordania falcata with one genal spine prepared free-standing.
