This is an extremely rare spiny trilobite. It is a large Dorypyge swasii from the ''Elrathia Beds'' of Millard County, Utah. This specimen was found in 1996. This trilobite is not well articulated and could be a moult. The trilobite exhibits good detail and has decent color and contrast. The bug is well showcased on the natural plate of matrix. This is a rare study grade example of this spiny trilobite from Utah.
