This is an unprepared specimen of Dalmanites limulurus from the Rochester Shale of New York. This is what a Dalmanites looks like when it is found, right out of the ground. The trilobite is prone and exhibits nice detail. The long genal spine is quite evident on the left side. The inflated bug displays well on the squared matrix plate. This is a cool natural example of Dalmanites limulurus from the Silurian.
