Here is a rare Utah trilobite. This is Bathyuriscus fimbriatus from the Marjum Formation of Utah. This specimen was found on legally leased land. This trilobite is somewhat large and nicely displayed. The bug is outstretched and exhibits fine detail. Although this is a counterpart and the free cheeks are missing, the large tail is easily seen, and the segmentation is clearly defined. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the large plate of shale that also contains a partial Modocia. This is an affordable example of a rare, classic trilobite from Utah.
