This is a very cool specimen of Calymene niagarensis. This Silurian trilobite is from the Rochester Shale of New York. The ancient arthropod is wonderfully prone and beautifully articulated. The bug is extremely 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The trilobite has great color and contrast and is well showcased on the large matrix plate that also contains a Trimerus delphinocephalus tail! This is a fine association plate featuring two classic Silurian trilobites, Calymene and Trimerus.
