This is a very nice example of a rare Pennsylvanian trilobite. It is a complete Ditomopyge parvulus from Northeast Oklahoma. This specimen was recently acquired from a major fossil collection. As most collectors know, Pennsylvanian trilobites are very rare - complete, prone ones are even rarer. But a complete, prone Ditomopyge from Oklahoma of this quality is almost unheard of. The bug is nicely outstretched and extremely inflated and 3-D. The natural coloration contrasts beautifully with the grey-green matrix. The trilobite displays very well on the large block of matrix. And, best of all, this is a split pair fossil - both part and counterpart are still intact and both halves are offered together here. This is a very collectible split pair Ditomopyge parvulus from Oklahoma.
