Here is a fabulous specimen of Dionide mareki from a classic European location - Valongo, Portugal. This rare Trinucleid trilobite is extremely large, very 3-D, and displays its LONG genal spines beautifully. The impressive trilobite has great detail, striking natural color, and is very well showcased on the large, natural matrix block. Usually, the trilobites from this locality are on very small pieces of matrix and are not very ''showy'' - this specimen is different, it has character! This is a fantastic specimen of this unusual spiny trilobite from Portugal.
