This is an excellent spiny trilobite plate. It is a fabulous pair of Ampyx priscus from the Ordovician of Morocco. These amazing trilobites were meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab. These trilobites are REAL, unlike most of the Moroccan Ampyx specimens on the market that have carved-in and painted spines. The trilobites are wonderfully articulated and exhibit excellent detail. The dark orange color of the trilobites contrasts superbly with the light-colored matrix. The fossils are natural to the plate and not composited. The bugs are beautifully showcased on the large, sculpted plate of shale. And, again, these trilobites are REAL! This is an extremely nice pair of Ampyx priscus from Morocco - one of the few plates that has not been faked.
