This is a prone specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is large and nicely inflated. The outstretched bug exhibits fine detail - the granulose glabella and eyes are nicely displayed. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The distinct bug is well showcased on the natural plate of marlstone. This is a very affordable example of this large-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
