This is an excellent specimen of Deanaspis goldfussi from the Ordovician. According to some, trilobites from the Czech Republic are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. This specimen is very complete and exhibits fine detail. (The specimen is actually much better than the picture.) The entire punctate brim is intact. The wide triangular tail is complete and tucked downward just a touch. The trilobite has a beautiful yellow color and contrasts nicely with the grayish-brown matrix. This is a great specimen of a difficult-to-obtain species from the Czech Republic.
