This is a nice, large Elrathia kingi from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. Loose specimens of this trilobite were drilled by Native Americans for adornment purposes and have been found hundreds of miles away from the site. This fine trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The specimen has been extracted from the surrounding rock so that it is completely free of matrix. This "loose" specimen would make a wonderful ''center stone'' for a unique piece of jewelry. This is a very large (almost one and a quarter inches long!), ''Jewelry Grade'' example of the classic trilobite, Elrathia kingi.
