This is a really nice specimen of Asaphus expansus from Russia. This small-eyed trilobite is from the Lower Ordovician. This particular species is not such a common occurrence. The trilobite is very 3-dimensional, nicely outstretched, and well articulated. It has great color and contrast. It is well displayed on a natural block of limestone. This is a fine, large specimen of a relatively uncommon Asaphus expansus from Russia.
