This is a nice multiple specimen of Calymene niagarensis from the Rochester Shale of New York. There are two examples of this trilobite on the plate. The larger trilobite is almost prone, while the other trilobite is curled. The bugs are very 3-dimensional and have the thick exoskeleton wonderfully preserved. The dark brownish-black trilobites contrast well with the grey matrix and are well showcased on the large plate of shale. This is a cool double Calymene specimen from the Silurian of New York.
