This is a nice display plate of Middle Devonian trilobites from New York. This specimen was found many years ago at the famous Penn-Dixie Quarry, and has been in the Eugene Thomas Collection ever since. There are many nice examples of Eldredgeops on the slab. The largest trilobite is complete and quite prone. The bugs are inflated and exhibit fine detail. The individual facets of the eyes and the pustulose glabellas are well displayed. The fossils are nicely showcased on the large matrix plate that also includes a very small horn coral. This is a very nice example of a classic multiple specimen of Eldredgeops from New York.
