This is a classic Russian trilobite. It is a complete Asaphus (Neoasaphus) kotlukovi from St. Petersburg, Russia. The trilobite is very inflated and prone on the matrix plate. The bug is almost perfectly articulated and exhibits very fine detail. The rich, caramel-brown color of the trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the natural plate of limestone. This is a very nice example of an Asaphid trilobite from Russia.
